Day NineteenĀ

1/3/2014

I feel like a better daughter. During this challenge I've learned that family should come first. Your parents are the some of the few people who genuinely love and care for you. If I could go back to when I first started this challenge I would tell myself it is worth it. One challenging aspect of my journey was doing something nice for my parents if we weren't on good terms that day. If they were mad about... say the tone of my voice, it took a lot of strength to put our differences aside and complete my task for a day. In the end, being  nice after we argued about some little thing was something like reconciliation. It was gratifying to have my parents thank me for my act of kindness each night. It brought all of us some kind of nostalgia, it's amazing how something so seemingly insignificant can completely change the mood of a household. I'm glad I chose this challenge and I would do it again.

    My Twenty Day Challenge

    Starting on December 3, 2013
I will being doing something extra special for my parents. After fifteen years of unconditional love, the least I can do is take twenty days to show them how much I love them.

Give the ones you love wings to fly, roots to come back, and reasons to stay.
